This young appellation (1983) is deeply linked to the history of winemaking. White and red wines are planted on a 1700-hectare gravelly soil, South and West of Bordeaux. They make this appellation a quality reference for Haut Brion, a Cru Classé in 1855, as well as for its 80 châteaux. The very consistent, well-structured soil gives elegance and character to this typical wine.
